This unique product is an excellent marking solution for areas in elegant offices, conference rooms, tiled bathrooms…any place that doesn’t have an industrial look, yet requires a glow-in-the dark marking. Because the rooms simply cannot have glow-in-the-dark tape showing, so this is a perfect solution! In emergency or darkness situations, the silicone caulking glows with above-standard strength. Silicone caulking can also be used effectively in a wide variety of industrial situations. Sometimes hard to mark areas can be easily marked using caulking instead of an adhesive-backed sticker-style marker. Caulking holds up to cleaning, water, some chemicals, abrasion and wear without losing any glow effectiveness. Caulk is applied with a standard caulking gun and yields 50 linear feet per tube. Neat clean lines can be achieved with less skill and trouble than paint (for the most part). Permalight photoluminescent silicone caulk exceeds many safety standards for glow-in-the dark materials. Permalight silicone caulk is in compliance with ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) E2072 ‘Standard Specification for Photoluminescent Markings’. In summary, these standards differentiate the requirements for SAFETY GRADE photoluminescent material and non-standard (TOY GRADE) glow products. The standards outline the intensity of the glow and the length of glow time once lights go out. Luminance: 30.0 mcd/m2 10 minutes after activation has ceased; 4.3 mcd/m2 60 minutes after activation has ceased; 0.3 mcd/m2 696 minutes after activation has ceased= 11 ½ hours. |
